Doris Ann James Kirby, age 91, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas passed away surrounded by family at her home on Thursday, April 18, 2024.
She was born on March 8, 1933, in Nashville, Arkansas. She enjoyed Razorback basketball, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved gardening.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruth James; her husband, Rex Kirby and infant great-granddaughter, Brylee Lynn Stapp.
She is survived by three children, Quinn and Annette Osborn, David Osborn, Lisa and Kevin Redden all of Dierks; six grandchildren, Brittany Hatridge of Lockesburg, AR, Joey and Amber Osborn of Nashville, AR, Cody and Kim Stapp of Berryville, AR, Jon and Whitney Stapp of Lockesburg, Tyler and Jacy Redden of Gun Barrel City, Texas, Trevor and Autumn Redden of Gun Barrel City, Texas; ten great-grandchildren, Lexi Neal, Will Neal and Kyzer Bush of Lockesburg, Bentley Osborn, Braelyn Osborn of Nashville, Creighton Stapp, Creed Stapp of Berryville, Zaylee Stapp, Asher Stapp of Lockesburg, Jaityn Redden of Gun Barrel City, Texas.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Kirby will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2024, in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Nashville, Arkansas with Terry Martin, Mike Moore, and Micah Dawson officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 21, 2024, at the funeral home in Dierks.
