Joseph (Joe) Wayne Ashford, age 86, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Lakewood Health and Rehab in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was born on July 7, 1939, in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, to Bob Ashford and Lorene McConnell. He was a member of the Dierks Church of Christ. He was a production supervisor for 27 years at Weyerhaeuser and then retired from Jan-Eze after 27 years. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Ashford was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Faye Copeland Ashford; and two brothers, John Ashford and James Ashford.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Russell McCain of Blossom, TX; one son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Kandi Ashford of Maumelle, AR; grandchildren, Zac and Chelsey Jester of Bogata, Texas, Brock and Hannah Ashford of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kalli and Parker Glass of Conway, Arkansas; great grandchild, Knox Jester and two unborn great grandchildren, Loxley Jester and baby Ashford; step-grandchildren, Lindsey and Jay Sherrin of Lewisville, Texas, Anna and Charles Robinson of Bentonville, Arkansas, David and Kelly McCain of Roswell, Georgia; step great-grandchildren, Jackson, Larkin, Londyn and Josten Sherrin and Theodore McCain; a special family friend, Jamie Fannin and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Ashford will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2025, in the Dierks Church of Christ with Bro. Terry Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Dierks Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
