Funeral services for Doris Ann (Channel) Lang, 78, of Nacogdoches will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Laird Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Paul Sevar. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Laird Funeral Home. Mrs. Lang passed away on July 27, 2025, in Denton, Texas. She was born on August 16, 1946, in Douglass, Texas to the late, A.L. and Juanita (Griffin) Channel.

Doris went to be with the Lord on July 27th, 2025. She was born on August 16th, 1946, to A.L. and Juanita Channel. She was one of five kids born and raised in Douglass, Texas. She is proceeded in death by her husband Larry Lang. She had been widowed for the last 9 years but they were blessed to have spent 47 years married and residing in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was also proceeded in death by her parents A. L. and Juanita Channel; brothers, Dale Channel, Larry Channel, Gary Channel; and sister, Marie Tarver. She is survived by her son, Jim Lang and wife Sherri of Pilot Point, Texas; granddaughter, Breanna Jacks and husband Anderson of Red Cliff, Colorado; grandson, Sergeant Jackson Lang who is proudly serving in the US Army; grandson, Mikael Lang of Pilot Point, Texas; grandson, William Lang of Pilot Point, Texas

Doris was known in the community by the numerous customers she served and greeted over the many years at Brookshire Brothers on South Street to Kroger on University as well as North Street. She had recently retired, and many have said how much they miss seeing her.

To her grandkids she was known as Mimi. She recently got to attend her granddaughter's wedding on June 6th in Colorado, and it was a blessing that she was able to travel and see all the family one last time and leave a wonderful lasting memory.
