Doris Lee Rountree Lawson was born in Millen, GA on Thursday, February 8, 1940. She departed this life on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at her residence. She was the wife of Robert Lee Lawson, Jr., and daughter of the late James Edward Rountree and Elmae Lee Rountree.
Doris was one of Jehovah's Witness of Kingdom Hall in Union, SC. She graduated from Lucy C. Laney High School in Augusta, GA. She was a former employee of Augusta Master's Golf Course. She was also a skilled licensed Cosmetologist.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by a son, Robin Lavert Lawson; brother, Larry Rountree; and three sisters, Clara Rountree, Annie Bell Rountree, and Geraldean Knight.
She leaves to cherish precious and fond memories: her husband, Robert Lee Lawson, Jr.; four sons, Terry Lee Lawson, Robert Lee, (Brenda) Lawson, III, Guy (Linda) Vincent, Felix (Vickie) Kirk; one daughter, Ella Louise (Allen) Conway; thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, James Rountree, Stoney Rountree, Standers Rountree, and Michael Rountree; four sisters, Everjean (Joseph) Williamson, Betty Dover, Cherry Rountree, and Sheila Rountree; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
