Our beloved Mr. Kenneth Ray Moorman Ferguson affectionately known as "Boston" and "Ray Ray", was born December 16, 1958, in Union, SC, to the late Clifford Rice, Sr., and Hazel Lee Moorman Ferguson. Kenny Ray departed this life on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at his place of residence.

At an early age he became a member of the Old MacBeth Church in Union, SC. Kenneth Ray was a graduate of the class of 1977 at Union High School. He was a great athlete in different kinds of sports such as running track, football, basketball and baseball in which he played for High School and his local community. Kenny Ray was a high spirited, motivated person and loved by many. He worked for Conso textile and retired from Carlisle Finishing.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth Ray was preceded in death by four brothers; Gene Clifford Rice, James Henry Ferguson, Harry Ferguson, and Andrea Jeter; two sisters, Brenda Rice Johnson and Teresa Ann Ferguson; maternal grandparents, Kinard Sam Moorman and Lady Bell Greene Moorman; his paternal grandparents, Berry Rice and Zinnie Tucker Rice.

He leaves to cherish fond memories with his fiancé Jocelyn Yvette Glenn Johnson of twenty-three years; two sons Kenquan Patrick and Nicholas O'Neal Ferguson; four grandchildren, Olivia Ferguson, Wesley Ferguson, Kyrie Ferguson, and Imri Ferguson; one sister, Carolyn Rice (Jerry Sims); two brothers Arthur Earl (Della) Ferguson and Gary Gray; five aunts, Evangelist Geneva Joiner, Evangelist Queen (Donald) Stevens, Bessie Sanders, Mary Rice, and Barbara Rice; two uncles, Jesse James Moorman, and John Earl Means; a special sibling Donna McCluney; one special sister-in-law, Carolyn Jeter, and special people dear to him, Darlene (Micheal) Beaty, Sharon (William) Morris, Nathaniel Glenn, Ralph Rose, Louie and Harry Holloway, Eric Savage; one special great nephew Kylan Beaty; two dear friends, Ronnie Lyes and Charles Hughes; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 3597 Janie Glymph Goree Blvd, Carlisle, SC. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
