Doris Lee Leibrock, a beacon of warmth and kindness, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on April 7, 1933, to Lawrence and Alice Lee Montoney, Doris graced the world with her sweet disposition and infectious smile, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met.
Doris was a gifted artist, showing her creativity through arts and crafts, particularly in her later years as she nurtured her talent for painting. Her artistic endeavors spoke to the beauty she cherished in life and her ability to find joy in the simplest of moments.
She is survived by a loving family that includes her sister, Virginia (Tony) McKeon, her son, David (Robin) Leibrock, and her daughter, Diane (Rick) Gillespie. Doris took immense pride in her grandchildren: Heather (Andrew) Wiegand, Brendon (Kate) Leibrock, Laura Gillespie, and Marcia Gillespie, as well as her great-grandchildren, Jack, Addison, Henry, and William Wiegand, and Emmerson Leibrock. Each and every one of them held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in their joys and accomplishments.
Doris is preceded in death by her cherished husband, Jack R. Leibrock, whose love was a guiding light in her life, along with her devoted parents, Lawrence and Alice Lee Montoney.
A memorial gathering will be held in her honor on March 17, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home located in Grove City, Ohio. As we gather to celebrate Doris’s life, we remember her for the warm and friendly spirit she embodied—a spirit that inspired love and connection within her family and community. She will be profoundly missed but will forever live on in the hearts of her loved ones, cherished in memories that will last a lifetime.
