Doris Logsdon, 96, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025, in Joplin, Missouri. Doris was born January 3, 1929, in Carthage to Jack and Hazel (Frey) Treat. She was a lifetime resident of Carthage. Doris was a homemaker and very active in her community. She participated in Garden Club – Mimosa, A.P. Chapter of P.E.O., and served on the Board for Historic Preservation. Doris was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church. At one time, she also served on the Altar Guild at church. Doris was united in marriage to Richard Logsdon on November 10, 1945, in Carthage; he preceded her in death in 2011. Doris is survived by her daughter, Jan Duncan and her husband, Mark, of Carthage; and granddaughter, Erin Logsdon of Nashville, Tennessee. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; son, Richard Logsdon, Jr. in 2025; her parents, Jack and Hazel Treat; and two sisters, Betty Abbiatti and Jackie Riley. Services for Doris will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 1st United Methodist Church in Carthage, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to just prior to her service the same day. Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Carthage, following her service. Contributions may be made to 1st United Methodist Church, or Children's Haven in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
