Doris's Prayer: Oh Lord, take this food for the nourishment of my body and my body to your service. In the Early hours of Sunday Morning. Doris received a new body to serve her Lord and Master Jesus Christ. She ran her race and fought a good fight. She is not gone we just cannot see her. Mrs. Doris a minister's wife was educated, dedicated, respected and esteemed. In her early years she walked from Elkin school to Brown's Machine Shop in Jonesville to work, then Underdown and Swift founded in the 1960's, she was the office manager, a skilled bookkeeper, perfect typist (before spell check) often typing multiple layers of contracts and reports with layers carbon paper before there was copier. She was curious and eager to learn, she executed all her duties with grace and accuracy, and great kindness. She was a lion tamer. Handing discipline with soft smile and the clearing of her throat. She was the personification of southern grace and precision. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband. When her husband passed her bond with her Beloved God Children Deborah and Sam grew stronger. Most of all Doris Loved Jesus her Lord and Savior. She loved going to her Home Church, Friendship Baptist Church, which her grandmother was a charter member in 1895. She witnessed and ministeredto countless people and her family. Setting the example walking in faith,instructing with love. Following her Lords instruction and walking in faith accepting her challenges and illness with courage determination and a grateful heart. Preceded in Death by her husband of 62 years Minister Richard Kelly Luffman, Her parents John A. Park, Vivian C. Park, Sisters Viola Park Atkins, Ann Park Hampton. Mrs. Doris Park Luffman is survived by her two brothers, Paul Park and Wife Bonnie, Benny Park and wife Jewell, Two God Sent Children, William Samuel" Sam" and wife Deborah R. Swift Beloved, companion Ginger Cat, Several nieces and nephews. Special Thanks to Pastor Mattie Ponce DeLion, Dr. Tomas Vybril and Dr. Tamas Soos, Linda Reece and her Team at Pruitt Health, Atrium Health North Carolina Baptist Level One Trama Center Teams, Hematology/Oncology, Nephrology, Pain Management, Countless Doctors, Nurses, Aides all who new us by name. Doris was not a number on a page or defined by her age. She was Much Loved, Admired, Respected and treasured by all who knew her. Today, she is totally healed and emulating Joy the presence of Jehovah. She is The definition of Proverbs 31 verses 10-31.
