Doris MacDougall

Doris Eileen MacDougall, 94, of Rogersville, MO, passed away at home on January 30, 2025, in the company of her daughter, grandson, and beloved cat Gizmo. Doris was born on August 20,1930 in Manhattan, KS, to Roy and Clara Harrold. She was the youngest of five children. Doris was united in marriage to Allan A MacDougall on January 8, 1951.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her husband. She is survived by her daughter Linda, grandson Tyler and his wife Lindsay, and their children Cade and Stetson, as well as nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Doris has been a member of Schweitzer Church since 1970 and volunteered in many capacities at the church over the years. Doris was a fantastic cook, and loved to read, do word searches, jigsaw puzzles, and always solved the Daily Jumble. She dearly loved her family, her kitties and her granddog. She also enjoyed springtime, flowers and watching wild birds.
A brief graveside service will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 1pm on Thursday, February 6, 2025, with Sheila Pippin officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow at Schweitzer Church on E. Sunshine.
