Memorial Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday August 6, 2022 11:00 to 1:00 PM.
Inurnment will follow at Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery.
Doris Marie Mauro, 90, life long resident of Kingston died on Saturday July 2, 2022 at home with her family by her side. Born September 21, 1931 in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Helen (Schuler) Parslow.
Doris was a graduate of Kingston High School Class of 1950. In school she was involved in many sports and clubs. She resided at her residence on Flatbush Avenue for all of her ninety years. She was employed at the Daily Freeman for many years she also worked for Local 99 Roofing Union and Cumberland Farms. Anyone who knew Doris knew she had a huge collection of decorative frogs decorating her home. She was an animal lover and her home was never without a pet. She was a caring, loving and independent woman. She took great pride and joy in her grandchildren and most recently in her great grandson who brighten many days for her and gave her much happiness when he popped into see her.
Doris is survived by her daughter Jill Plough Cahill and her husband Patrick. Her husband Nicholas Mauro, step-children Michael Mauro, Kathy Mauro Emsing (John) and Linda Mauro Gresens. Grandchildren Christina Cherry, Brianne Cahill, Patrick Cahill, Amber Plough, great grandchild Zain Soto. Also surviving are her nieces Helen-Marie Korniewicz Lambert and Valarie Korniewicz Shears, nephews John "Jack" Korniewicz and Frederick Korniewicz.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Craig A. Plough, son Craig A. "Chip" Plough. Siblings Joan Korniewicz, Frederick "Buddy" Parslow and sister in law Sara (Plough) MacDonald.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to either the Ulster County S.P.C.A. or Boys and Girls Club of Ulster County.
