It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Doris who left us November 23, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born on the Gudgell Ranch south of Edmond, Kansas, September 13, 1940, to Virgil Paul and Enid Irene (Hunter) Billips. She moved to Colorado where she became a nurse and started her family. After retiring from nursing she moved to Logan, Kansas with her husband Bob Minks and started Logan Hardware. Later Doris moved to Hays where she enjoyed many years of retirement. Doris is survived by her sons Saul Abrams, Norton, Kansas and Darin Bray, Russell, Kansas; a stepdaughter Jennifer Norris and husband Todd, Logan, Kansas; her step-granddaughters Alethea Harmon and husband Charley and Lana Norris and Lana's daughter Ruby. Her funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m., December 7, 2024, at Stinemetz Funeral Home, followed by burial in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
