Doris LeJune Moore, 77, passed early morning September 2, 2025. Doris was born on June 22, 1948, to Opal Smith and David Wornell. She grew up with values rooted in family, love, and hard work - values that carried her through her entire life. For 58 years, she shared her life with her beloved husband, Robert Leroy Moore. Their marriage was a testament to true partnership, devotion, and unconditional love. Together, they raised three children - Robert (Sonny), Teresa, and Jonathan - building a family bound by love and faith.
Doris devoted her life first and foremost to Jesus Christ, finding strength, guidance, and purpose in her faith. She carried that devotion into the way she lived: always helping others, always offering a hand, a smile, or a word of encouragement. Her faith wasn't just spoken, it was lived every day in the way she cared for others.
She was also a woman of joy and simple pleasures. She loved her dogs dearly, finding companionship and warmth in them. She had an eye for bargains and a love for thrift shopping, always able to find treasures where others might see nothing at all.
Doris was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and her son, Robby. Though their absence left a hole in her heart, she carried their memory with strength and grace. She is survived by her daughter Teresa, her son Jonathan, her grandson Dustin Maddox (Aleyda) and her four great-grandchildren; Devin, Sean, Aubrey and Myles, who will continue to carry forward her legacy of faith, kindness, and love.
When we remember Doris, we remember a woman who gave more than she ever asked for in return, who found joy in serving others, who cherished her family deeply, and who lived her faith with quiet strength. Her life was a gift to all of us, and though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
Doris has gone home, reunited with her beloved Robert and Robby, and rests now in the eternal peace of her Savior.
