Doris “Sis” Elizabeth Kline Moore, age 87, of Loudon, Tennessee, entered eternal rest on Saturday morning, December 20, 2025. A devoted Deaconess, faithful choir member, and steadfast servant of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Doris dedicated many years to serving her church and community with grace and humility.

Doris loved her family unconditionally. She was a proud and enthusiastic supporter of children, especially her beloved granddaughter—her “extended heartbeat”—as well as countless relatives and friends. Her motherly love extended far beyond her immediate family, embracing church members, neighbors, and friends throughout Loudon and surrounding communities.

Affectionately known as “Sis,” Doris built a remarkable career at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where she worked for 38 years, many of those as a respected supervisor of the Plant and Equipment Crew. Her colleagues admired her dedication, rising each day at 2:45 a.m. to walk several miles for exercise prior to preparing breakfast for her team before work. Doris was renowned for her generous hospitality; whether your visit was planned or unexpected, you never left her home hungry—unless by choice. Today, we rejoice in knowing she is preparing a heavenly feast at the Father’s table.

Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Thomas G. Moore; her parents, Charles Kline and Bonnie Hardy Kline; sister, Louise Kline; brother, Harold W. Kline, Sr.; and sister-in-love, Hollene Kline.

She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted daughter, Judy Moore Bomar (Brandon K. Bomar); son, Thomas L. Moore; siblings, Charles Allen Kline (Betty) and James Otis Kline (Kay); sisters-in-law, Patricia Kline and Lucille Moore; an adoring granddaughter, D’Marayana Leigh Bomar; grandson, Patrick Thomas Moore; nieces and nephews; Renee Kline Thomas (a treasured second daughter), Duane Kline (Tammy), Adrian Kline, Cedric Kline (Jana), Will Kline, Brenda Vyphuis, Patricia Swafford, Jim Moore, and Ed Moore; and other numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins—including special mention of Florian and Carolyn Meeks. She also leaves behind cherished friends and other extended family. Special recognition is given to The Onyx Red Hat Society, with heartfelt thanks to Brenda Wiggins and Charlene Whittington for their kindness and support. Barry Summey (Angie) and Shane Cavett (Megan) for landscaping, home maintenance, and good conversation.

DarcyMae, I love you and deeply appreciate the love you shared with my husband, my child, and me. Lovingly, your daughter.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church (509 Church St, Loudon, TN).

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Loudon Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow immediately, with Elder Bobby P. Fields Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Loudon County Memorial Gardens.
