Doris Virginia Obst, of the town of Wolf River, found peace on February 14, 2025 at her home under the care of her family, friend Kim Mytas and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 96 years old. She was born on September 12, 1928 in Milwaukee, a daughter of Arthur and Rose (Gruber) Carroll. She married the love of her life, Robert Obst, on September 30, 1950 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2017. She was a 1947 graduate of Washington High School in Milwaukee. For 37 years she assisted her husband with Obst American Family Insurance Agency in Brookfield, retiring in 1996. In 1999 the couple moved to White Lake where they made their home on the Wolf River. Doris was fiercely devoted to creating spaces for her family to gather and loved spending time with them on the porch of her home on the Wolf River. She was an avid Willy Adames fan. She was a longtime active member of St. James and Stanislaus Catholic Parish of White Lake and St. Agnes Parish in Butler, WI She enjoyed playing bridge, crossword and jigsaw puzzles and walking. Survivors include two daughters, Kymetha (Patrick) Jaskolski and Karyn (Scott) Popelka both of White Lake; four sons, Robert Obst of Middleton, Jeffrey (Hai) Obst of Oshkosh, Stephen (Deborah) Obst of Brookfield, and Christopher (Barb) Obst of New Berlin; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and daughters-in-law, Theresa Zodrow and Colleen Hayes. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Obst; and three sisters, Eileen Neary, Jeanne Donlon, and Patricia Scholz. Special Thank you to Kim Mytas, Nicole Keepers, Bobbie Schneider and the staff LeRoyer Hospice for the wonderful care they gave our mom. Bradley Funeral Home is assisting the family with a private celebration of life for Doris's immediate family.
