Doris Shrine Quarles, 91, resident of Greenwood, widow of Henry Irvin Quarles passed away Friday, September 26, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in McCormick, she is the daughter of the late George V. and Maggie M. Shrine.

A graduate of McCormick High School, Mrs. Quarles was a faithful member of South Main Baptist Church where she was a member of Erline Shirley Sunday School Class. Always active, she was a member of the Nice and Easy Exercise Group, the Merry Mixers Square Dance Club, and the Greenwood Dance Club.

Mrs. Quarles is survived by her son Richard Henry Quarles, along with grandchildren Chandler Austin Cottle, Hunter Tristan Quarles and Rockford Hugh Quarles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Angela Quarles Cottle; sisters Pauline Wilkie and Edith Gable and brothers George Shrine and Lonnie Shrine. Doris was a graduate of the Waldrep's Beauty Academy in Greenville and was a hairstylist for many years.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Monday September 29, at South Main Baptist Church with the Rev. Toby Frost officiating assisted by Rev. Andy Roberson. Burial will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Connecting Place at South Main Baptist Church on Monday from 2:00-3:00 PM.
