Doris S. Rapp, 97, of Inman, South Carolina went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at her home. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 8, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Mabel (LeNoir) Shute and Earl Charles Shute and was the wife of Frank Lawrence Rapp having celebrated 73 years of marriage. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, violinist, artist and walker of the beach. She graduated from Guilford College in 1946, was a Girl Scout leader and a member of Inman United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by three daughters, Jeanne Cline and her husband William, Charlene Bellew, Laurie McElveen and her husband Preston; four grandchildren, Charles Cline and his wife Kathryn, Katherine Malloy and her husband Daniel, Michael McElveen and his wife Laura and Mary Dietz and her husband Michael and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Miriam Mick officiating.

It is with great sadness that i learned a day or so before Doris passed that she was not well. We were roommates a Guilford College in 1944. She always had a cheerful laugh for for everyone. It is all hard to comprehend. Alice Rohr
