Doris Mae Roberts, a resident of West Plains (formerly of Willow Springs), passed away Friday, July 18, 2025, while at Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, MO; due to natural causes. Doris was born June 24, 1943, in Eminence, MO to Luther and Opal (Townsend) Cowin and was 82 years old.
Doris was married to Willie Lee Roberts on August 24, 1960, in Willow Springs. To this union three children were born. Doris was primarily a homemaker. She had many enjoyments in her life which included working in her flower beds, cooking, playing the piano and singing in church, and especially taking care of her family. She had a great love for her Lord and Savior and attended many churches due to her husband, Willie, who was an ordained minister and they both went wherever the Lord called them. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Willie; her parents, Luther and Opal; her brothers, Leo, Jim, Ivan, and Paul; sisters, Lorene Dunn and Bonnie Smith; and her grandson, Anthony Ward.
She is survived by her children, Terry Roberts and his wife, Therese; Cathy Cooper and her husband, Jerry; and Gary Roberts and his wife, Stephanie all of Willow Springs. She is further survived by her sister, Betty Brooks and her husband, John of Rapid City, IL; and her brothers, Roger Cowin and his wife, Marylin of Rich Hill, MO; and Steve Cowin and his wife, Reba of Macon, MO; as well as eight grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
