Doris Ann Rose, age 87, our much loved Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Friend returned to her Heavenly Home on May 14, 2023. Doris was born on February 3, 1936 to Reid Mendenhall Hales and Zora Velien Draper in Mapleton Utah. She graduated from Springville High School in 1954. She was married in February 1955 and later divorced. She married Delbert Gene Rose on November 15, 1968 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Mom loved to sew, quilt and do genealogy. Most of all she loved to serve her family and the Lord. She served in the Jordan River Temple and served as Ward & Stake Relief Society President several times along with many other Church callings. She, along with Gene were members of the Jordan River Chapter of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers. She loved making quilts for the children and grandchildren when they got married. She also enjoyed making Christmas toys for the little ones each year.
Mom is survived by her Brother Merrill Hales (Carolee) and children Cleon (Charlene) Rose, Paul (Jean) Rose, JoDel (Richard) Ehlert, Russell (Judy) Rowberry, Victor (Carol) Rowberry, Celia (Jim) Davis, Jeff (Julie) Rowberry, Renee (Dale) Toney, Mel (Stacie) Rowberry. She was preceded in death by her husband Gene, her parents Reid and Zora, her brothers Blaine, Raymon and Boyd and grandson Paul. Her posterity includes 36 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, May 22nd at 11:00 am at the Elm Creek Chapel located at 2200 West 8539 South in West Jordan, with a viewing one hour prior to services.
A viewing will be at the Bingham Creek Chapel located at 1945 West 9000 South, West Jordan on Sunday, May 21st from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Interment will be Utah Veterans Memorial Park under the direction of Independent Funeral Services.
