Doris Ann Rotar, age 85, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025. Born on February 15, 1940, in Amsterdam, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of the late William and Josephine (Manson) Wilton. Doris was a devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She shared over 54 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband, Alex D. Rotar. Their enduring bond was a testament to the love and strength that defined her life. She is survived by her dear sisters, Nadine Zawahri and her husband Awni, and Diana Albert, all of Canton, Ohio. Doris also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews who brought great joy to her life including Zaina and Sam Zawahri and Stephen Welsh. She was preceded in death by her brother, Louis Albert. Doris dedicated over 39 years of service as a secretary with American Electric Power, where she was known for her diligence, professionalism, and warm spirit. An active member of her community and her faith, Doris was a proud member of the Sf. Maria Ladies Auxiliary at St. George Romanian Byzantine Catholic Cathedral. Her strong faith and commitment to her church were central to her life. Doris lived with passion and enthusiasm, especially for the things she loved most. She was an avid golfer, a devoted member of her Ladies Poker Card Club, and enjoyed participating in aerobics classes before her illness. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Doris's memory to: St. George Romanian Byzantine Catholic Cathedral 1121 44th St. NE Canton, OH 44714 Funeral services are currently being planned in Canton, Ohio.
