Ronald Fausnight, 83, of Canton, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by his family on February 24th, 2026. Born August 15th, 1942, to Homer and Betty (Chamberlain) Fausnight, he graduated Hoover High School in 1961, where he participated in football and was awarded Defensive Player of the Year. Ron spent most of his professional career as a truck driver, retiring from Sugardale Meats in 2000. He is one of the longest tenured members of the Greentown Athletic Club, volunteering for over 50 years, much of that time as a youth football coach. His impact will be felt for generations to come for those who played for him. Ron’s biggest joy was being in the presence of his family and spending time with his close friends Vince Harris and Marisa Bavaro.

He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister Denise.

Ron is survived by his wife Susan; children Tom (Barb), Kim, Missy (Mitch), and Jamie (Danielle); grandchildren Valerie, Andy, Trent, Jacob, Olivia, Mickey, and Tanner; great grandchildren Clayton and Carter; siblings Susan Overmeier, Cindy (Alan) Brownsword, Jody Tinskey, and Jeff Fausnight.

A celebration of life will be held at the Eagles in North Canton on April 4, 2026, from 1:00pm-5:00pm.
