Doris J. Sheese

Doris Jean (Wall) Sheese, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025. She was born July 28, 1939, in Spencer, Indiana, to William and Bertha Helen (Morris) Walls. Doris attended Spencer High School and married James "Lester" Sheese on July 28, 1956. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found joy in gardening, cooking, and serving her community. Doris was an active member of the Owen County Farm Bureau board alongside her husband, Lester, and was a long-time member of the Spencer Church of the Nazarene.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Kurt) Sheese Stucker of Franklin, Indiana and Lesliann (Gary) Burton of Gosport, Indiana; grandsons, Kyle (Katie) Stucker of West Lafayette and Kevin (Kayla) Stucker of South Bend; great-grandson, Abraham James Stucker; and siblings, Carolyn Goldsby, Harold Wall, and Larry Wall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Lester; and siblings, Mary Mullen, Lorrine Ault, Virginia Hendershot, William Wall, LeRoy Wall, Robert Wall, and Dale Wall.
Private family services were entrusted to the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home of Walton Funeral Service Inc. in Spencer, Indiana.
