Doris Smith Obituary
Doris M. Smith, a resident of Sarah Jane Sanford Home in Amsterdam and a life-long resident of the Town of Colonie, passed away on May 13, 2023.
She was 94 years old.
Doris was born in Schenectady on August 2, 1928.
She was predeceased by her mother Gertrude (Quinn) Smith, her father David F. Smith, her brother Raymond J. Smith and her niece Karen Smith-Sfara.
She was a career employee at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory.
She loved to work at the Smith family's grocery store and the family's liquor store in Colonie.
Special heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation to the wonderful staff at the lovely Sarah Jane Sanford Home in Amsterdam for their excellent care and compassion.
A devout Catholic, Doris' Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Clare's Catholic Church, 1947 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205. The Rite of Committal will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
Arrangements entrusted to The Riverview Funeral Home, Inc., of Troy, New York.
