Doris Lorene Stefani passed into glory on December 16th, 2025. She was born June 9th, 1935 in
Salem, Oregon to Theodore Roosevelt Gruver and Evelyn Blanch Peterson Gruver. Doris grew up in Greenberry, south of Corvallis, until age 8. She then moved to
Dallas, Oregon where she attended school, graduating in 1953.
On December 2nd, 1952, she married Loren D. Lange. They lived on a farm in Salt Creek where they raised their 3 children; Randall Scott, born May 28, 1957, Linda Louise, born on December 30th, 1959, and Jonie Jeannette, who was born on July 12th, 1961.
Doris went to work at Dallas City Bank one week after graduating. She worked there a total of 12 years. While Loren was in the service (Army) at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, she worked at the Fort Sill Bank. Later, she and Loren established "Golden Homes". Doris then got her real estate license in June 1975; working for Angor Realty, then for McNary Real Estate and continued as a realtor for 30+ years.
In 1975, she and Loren divorced. In 1976, on April 1st, she married her soulmate, Jack Stefani. He later passed away on September 18th, 2004.
Doris owned Stefani Real Estate from 1981 to 1994, when she had to sell due to health issues. She later worked for Prudential, then Windermere, until she retired. Doris also served on the City of Dallas Council for one term, as well as a term on the planning commission. She was named Realtor of the year for 1984.
Doris was predeceased in death by daughter, Linda Louise Saviola (Don) who passed on October 2020 while on leave from mission in Uganda and stepdaughter, Debbie Stefani; she was preceded also by a grandson, Christian Joseph Lange, as well as her sisters, Betty Trupke (James) and Irene Rose King (Jerry).
Doris is survived by her children, Randall Lange (Vanessa) of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Joni Lange of
Dallas, Oregon; her stepchildren, John A. Stefani (Terri) and Sherry Jackson (Roger), 8 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren (with one on the way), and 6 step-great grandchildren; as well as sisters Vivian Graver of
Dallas, Oregon and Shirley Moore (Gordon) of Crabtree, Oregon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Doris Lorene Stefani loved gardening, bowling, travelling, and reading.
