Madeline Stefani Obituary

Madeline Abraham Stefani, a lifelong Chicago resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on September 28, 1946, to Ephraim Abraham, Sr. and Julia Kasha Shemon Bahrami, Madeline was a woman of elegance, strength, and warmth whose presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A beautiful lady with an outgoing personality, Madeline was beloved by many. Her sense of style, grace, and boundless energy made her unforgettable. Whether socializing with friends or commanding the tennis court, she brought passion and poise to everything she did.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, David, on October 12, 2017. Together, they built a life full of love, family, and shared adventures.
Madeline is survived by her loving children: Timothy (Karyn) Esbrook, Ashley (Ryan) Kosztya, and stepdaughter Michelle (David) Sell; and her cherished grandchildren: August and Bianca Esbrook, Adrian and Jillian Kosztya, and Emily Sell.
She is also survived by her dear sister Pauline (Arthur) Tarvardian, and was preceded in death by her brothers Ephraim, Jr. (late Mary) Abraham and Julian (late Maureen) Abraham. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose lives she touched.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 9:15 AM until the time of the Memorial Mass at 10:00 AM, at Queen of All Saints Basilica, 6280 N. Sauganash Ave., Chicago, IL 60646.
Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions to Queen of All Saints Basilica will be appreciated.
Madeline's vibrant spirit, loving heart, and fierce devotion to family and friends will live on in the memories of all who were blessed to know her.
