Doris M. Steuber

Doris Margaret Steuber (nee Gabriel), age 86 of "Oak Valley" Deptford Twp., NJ passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Born on November 20, 1939 to the late William Gabriel and Elizabeth (nee Wilson), she attended J. Mason Tomlin grade school and Pitman High School. At 4 pm on July 12, 1958, she married John Herbert Steuber Jr., at Mantua Methodist Church. They remained happily married until death parted them after 68 years of marriage. John was devoted to her and spent as much time as he could with Doris until her passing.

She also leaves behind her daughter, Joanne Doris Romano & her husband, Mike; son-in-law, Bob Jarrell; grandchildren, Ryan McHale, Laura Frew, Megan Frew, Carman Romano, Alex Romano, Marc Jarrell & his wife, Katrina, and Tyler Jarrell & his wife, Brittany; and great grandchildren, Carson Lazzati, Ash Lazzati, Juliette Jarrell, Patrice Jarrell, Emma Jarrell, and Aidan Jarrell. Doris was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Lyn Jarrell and her sister, Cathy Hoskins.

Relatives and friends may visit from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, March 6th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ. Burial will be in Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ.
