Edward R. Doak

Edward R. Doak, 86, of Pitman, passed peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Inspira Hospital of Mullica Hill. Born in Philadelphia, he enlisted in the United States Army and later built a career in the insurance industry, retiring as an Insurance Underwriter with General Accident Insurance Company.

Edward was a longtime active member of Calvary Bible Church and most recently attended Hardingville Bible Church. He enjoyed woodworking, model trains, and long-distance bicycling.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lila (née Tarpy); his children, Lila Fraser of Bowie, MD, and Karen Lloyd and husband Bryan of Mullica Hill, NJ; and his grandsons, Aaron Fraser and wife Emily, Noah Fraser and wife Marie, Parker Lloyd, and Jonah Lloyd.

He was predeceased by his father William F. Doak; his mother Margaret M. Kletzing (née Mease), his brother, William F. Doak; and his brother, Donald Kletzing.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation to be held Friday, March 6, 2026, from 9:00am to 11:45am at Hardingville Bible Church, 979 Whig Ln, Monroeville, NJ 08343, followed by a funeral service at 12:00pm in church. Burial with Military honors will take place following at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery 240 N. Tuckahoe Rd, Williamstown, NJ 08094.

He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his faith, and a life lived with quiet dedication and integrity.
