Doris was a gentle soul who loved her “Women’s Bible”, given to her by my friend Margot Hampe. I had the pleasure to help out Doris and John in their home. Every day was an unforgettable adventure listening to their trips and all those who passed through those doors. I remember all the laughter we shared over teatime in the kitchen and the backyard. Doris loved when we would go out together and call John in at supper time; from up the steep hill in their backyard. She knew where he was all the time; he was raking his leaves. I called them the “Love Birds”. Doris you touched so many lives with your joy. You will never be forgotten. Love Barbara C. Lodge
