Doris Struwe Obituary
ALBANY - Doris Marie Struwe, 93, of Albany, N.Y., passed away at Albany Medical Center on February 23, 2025, peacefully, while surrounded by her family. Doris was born on May 27, 1931. Doris is survived by her four children, David (Joy), Brian (Kathy), Cindy, and Jeff. Doris is survived by her five grandchildren, Melissa (Jeremy), Tyler (Leah), Zachary, Jordyn (Clayton), and Jakeb. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Presley and Emily Rose. Doris was predeceased by her parents, Alice and Ed Welch; brother, Richard Dysert; and sister, Dorothy Dolan (Pat). Family was incredibly important to Doris. She was a dedicated mother who effortlessly balanced her work and home life. She was fiercely loyal to those in her life. Doris raised her children in North Albany. She is remembered as Mrs. Struwe, and was a part of the sisterhood of mothers in North Albany. She enjoyed sunny family get togethers, scat, the Yankees, casinos, the beach, and sweets! Doris has touched many lives and her memory and spirit will live on through all who have known her. Doris was a very dear friend to me at Marie Rose Manor for years. I loved visiting with her...she was such fun! We were constantly laughing. When she moved I was heartbroken but did try to keep in touch. I will always miss her but cherish the years when she was here. A very dear friend she was.
