Doris Elvarie (Leach) Terry, age 95, of Jackson, Ohio passed away December 9th, 2025, at Jenkins Care Community in Wellston, Ohio. Doris was born November 21st, 1930, in Jackson, Ohio to the late George and Helen Leach, the second of fifteen children.
Doris was a faithful member of Calvary Church since 1950. She was a true Christian who lived and walked her faith daily.
She was married on November 15, 1947, to Siegel Terry Jr. who preceded her in death. Their union was blessed with seven children. Doris was an amazing mother, grandmother, and wife who felt her family was her greatest accomplishment.
Doris is survived by her children, Randy (Betsy) Terry, Melody (Bob) Mullins, Sandy (David) Workman, Trish McCullough; daughter-in-law, Kathy Terry; grandchildren: Danyelle (Tony) Speakman, Angie (Dan) Talbert, Justin Fortune, Clifton (Kayleigh) Fortune, Theodore (Vicky) Terry, Stacy (Travis) Fellure, and Stephanie (Chris) Maynard; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; Brothers Errol Leach and Ricky Leach; Sisters Janet Fannin, Pat Rhea, Nancy Marks, and Kathy Greer.
In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by three sons, Barry Dean, Daryl Wayne, and Mark Lewis; son-in-law, Mark McCullough and Jim Fortune; brothers, Jerry Leach and Jimmy Leach; sisters, Betty Jean Morgan, Norma Riegel, Rose Copley, Sharon Saunders, Vicky Baxter, and Karen Humphreys; and four great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 15th, 2025, from 11AM-1PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home, 28 Harding Avenue, Jackson, OH 45640. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1PM with Rev. Randy Terry officiating with burial after at Bethel Ridge Cemetery. A dinner will follow the services at Calvary Church in Jackson.
