Doris Jean Farris Langley Turner passed away on September 20. 2025, at the age of 96. She was the daughter of Emmett Lester Farris and Edna Emma Leonard Farris and later stepmother Della Leonard Farris. Doris was born June 15, 1929, in Huntsville, TX. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Frank Langley, and later by her second husband, Robert Hugh Turner. She was also preceded in death by her brothers William L. Farris, Harold Farris, and Gaylord Farris, and a sister Anna Merle Wells. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Emmett O. Turner and wife Christi, William David Turner, and daughter Donna Jean Barron and husband Earnest Barron. Also surviving her are her grandchildren BJ Bodin, Rusti Hendrix, Heather Robinett and husband Chase, Rebecca Waltz and husband Jesse, and great grandson Ethan Waltz – the light of her life! Doris will also be remembered by her sister Della Perle Robinson and brother-in-law James "Red" Wells. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, TX, with Pastor David Beaty officiating. Doris will be laid to rest at Farris Cemetery, with a reception following at the West Sandy Community Center. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Farris Chapel Methodist Church or HEARTS Veterans Museum. The family would like to thank St. Joseph's Hospice for their care of Mom.
