Obituary
Doris Davis Willett, age 91, of 2559 Hickory House Road, Sanford, NC., passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Cambridge Hills Assisted Living of Pittsboro, NC.
Doris was born in Troy, NC., on March 12, 1932, to the late Jesse Stephen Davis and Sarah Fuquay Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Louis Willett and a grandson, Timothy James Willett. She was a longtime member of Grace Chapel Church. Doris was a beautician from the age of 19 until she finally closed her shop in 2012 at the age of 80.
Doris is survived by her sons, Mike Willett and wife, Julie of Asheboro, NC and Gary Willett and wife, Ramona of Sanford, NC.; daughter, Annette Byrd and husband Barry of Monroe, NC.; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and a special friend of 14 years, Ed Honeycutt.
The family will receive friends at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home on Friday, April 7, 2023, from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Barry Byrd, Rev. Michael Tannenbaum and Travis Corley officiating. Burial will be in Grace Chapel Cemetery.
