Doris Wolford Windon

Doris Wolford Windon, 77, of Rainelle passed away on Sunday night, September 15, 2024 at Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg following a long illness.
She was born on June 14, 1947 in Danese; she was the daughter of the late Harry Oscar Wolford and Mary Elva Flanagan Wolford.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Randall Windon, Jr.; daughter, April Windon Turner; sisters, Bonnie, Shirley, Mary, Linda; brothers, Kenneth, William "Diddle", Derrell, James and Keith.
Doris loved to cook and she was a cook in several restaurants in Rainelle over the years. She loved to can and share with all her friends and family. She loved her cat, Maggie May and looked forward to her greetings daily.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 54 years, Randall Lee Windon of Rainelle; daughter-in-law, Heather Cole Windon; son-in-law, Keith Turner; special grandson, Joshua Ennis (Karissa); special niece, Anita Ennis (David) ; extended family; a host of friends and her cat, Maggie May.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Wallace & Wallace, Rainelle with Pastor Tim Hart and Pastor Marvin Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Martin Cemetery, Crag, WV.
Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to cover the costs of services.
