Doris Zuziak

1931 - 2022

Doris J. Zuziak, 90, of Gladwin, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 12, 2022. She was born on July 29, 1931, the daughter of David and Dorothy (Metz) LeVasseur in Detroit. She has lived the past 30 years in Gladwin, previously residing in Dearborn Heights.

She married Berkley Thomas, together they raised a family with five children. She later married Harry Blackwell and Donald Zuziak both preceding her in death. She was a fiercely independent women and proudly devoted to her family. She lived life to the fullest on her own terms. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Barbara (William) Bicknell, Alan (Penny) Thomas, Donald Thomas, and Cathline (Todd) Sexton; son-in-law, William Wall; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Effie) LeVasseur; along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Karen Wall.

Funeral mass will be conducted by Fr. Marcel Portelli on Friday March 18, 2022, noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gladwin. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 3-8 p.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. She will be laid to rest at McClure Cemetery, Gladwin. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com.
