Dorisjane P. "Dj" Emery

Dorisjane P. Emery "DJ" (nee Platell) age 96 of Hudson, formerly of Birmingham, OH and Aurora, OH, beloved wife of the late Fred H. Emery Jr.; dear mother of Nancy (Jim) Kimnach, Tim (Marlene) Emery and Cindy Hoffmann; loving grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 14; sister of the late Earl E. Platell Jr., died March 29, 2024. After Fred's retirement, they moved to a farm in Southern Ohio. Dorisjane was a talented cook and avid puzzler. She found joy in gardening, volunteering, cross stitching, and knitting. Above all, she held a deep love for her family, who brought warmth and happiness to her life.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Northeast Ohio Hospice, 10204 Granger Road, Garfield Hts., Ohio 44125 (www.northeastohiohealthservices.org/donate) or to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org). The family will receive friends Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Laurel Lake Community Room, 200 Laurel Lake Drive, Hudson, OH 44236, with a celebration of life starting at 11:30 AM.
