Dorleen D. Carmel

Palmyra – Dorleen D. Carmel, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. She is survived by three children, Mary Jo Carmel (Scott Carlton), Richard (Tammy) Carmel and Wanda Carmel; four grandchildren, Ben Carmel, Cassie (Anthony) Gleason, Alisha Carlton (Adam Hopkins) and Kyler Carlton (Elizabeth Labombard); 5 great-grandchildren, Kayden Carlton, Emma Hopkins, Russell Hopkins, Xander Gleason and Lily Gleason; sister, Sharon Calhoun; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard "Dick" Carmel in 2010; and sister, Aloha Engert.
Dorleen was born in Canandaigua and was the daughter of Clark and Mary (Newman) Calhoun. She grew up in Victor and was a graduate of Victor Central School. Dorleen was an avid collector of Coca Cola memorabilia because her husband Dick worked there for over 40 years. She enjoyed puzzles, gardening, flowers and cardinals. Most of all, Dorleen's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her whole world.
