Cheryl Ann Squirrell

Bristol - Cheryl Ann Squirrell, age 73, passed away peacefully, on March 11, 2026, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Steve Squirrell; son, Raymond (Tammy) Sheley III; two grandsons, Arthur and Derik; brother, Joe (Julie) Urbanski; and two nieces, Jenna and Mei Lei.

Cheryl was born in Cohoes, NY to Joseph and Helen (Sala) Urbanski. She worked at Schlegel Manufacturing as an Administrative Assistant where she developed many friendships over the course of her career that we all enjoy today. Cheryl was an antique collector and dealer who loved to scour the countryside looking for treasures to display in their house, or to sell at her antique store, which she operated for many years. She enjoyed the camaraderie of her fellow antique hunters as they would exchange stories about their recent acquisitions.

Cheryl was a country girl at heart who loved her critters, domesticated and wild. She loved her kitties and smooched them up all the time.

Cheryl was a kind, generous and loving person, who was always eager to help her

family and friends. She put the needs and happiness of her family first. Cheryl will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who will cherish her memory forever and ever.

Her memorial service will be held Saturday, April 18, at 10am, at the United Church of Bristol, 7177 County Road 2, Bloomfield, NY 14469. A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, July 18, from 12pm to 5pm, at Steve's home at 6925 County Road 2, Bloomfield, NY 14469. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Light Hill (comfort care home), 5160 Parrish St. Ext., Canandaigua, NY 14424 or the United Church of Bristol, 7177 County Road 2, Bloomfield, NY 14469.
