Dorma “Sissy” Jean Johnson, 62, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, in Staunton.

She was born on March 11, 1962, in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, to the late Greagor “Jack” Carlton and Bryna Jean Crouse Johnson.

Sissy was dedicated to her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a role that allowed her to embrace her true passion for helping others in the healthcare industry. She devoted her career to service and compassion.

As a young woman, Sissy had a zest for life that included activities such as skating, particularly speed skating. A lover of literature, she was an avid reader in her spare time. She had a talent for crocheting and immensely enjoyed cooking, where she found great pleasure in preparing meals for others.

She had a deep love for her family, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her son, Bryce Logan Johnson and his wife, Brittany Nicole; her brothers, Gregory Allen Johnson and his wife, Carol, and James Carlton Johnson and his wife, Vickie; her sister, Donna Faith Johnson Markunas and her husband, Ray; her stepdaughter, Brie Lawhorne; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

There will be a gathering of friends and family from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.
