Tamara “Tammy” Jean Bragg Flavin, 75, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at her residence in Staunton.
She was born on September 19, 1950, in Staunton to the late Earl Henry, Sr. and Annie Jeanette Jones Bragg.
Tamara was a proud graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, class of 1968.
She dedicated eighteen years of her life to working at Augusta Correctional Center, where she served until her retirement.
In her free time, Tamara enjoyed working puzzles. She was also an avid television fan and rarely missed her favorite shows. She especially enjoyed watching Dancing with the Stars and The Masked Singer, and her days were never complete without her soap operas - most notably General Hospital.
Above all, Tamara cherished her family. She had a special gift for making everyone feel loved and welcome, earning her the affectionate title of “Everybody’s Granny/Nana.”
She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Marie Werner Hart (Tracy Glass); her brother, Earl Henry “Hank” Bragg, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl; her grandson, Brandon Lee Hart; and a special person, Jane Talley.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Frederick Bragg.
Per her request, there will be no services.
