Dornal McNeely

Dornal "Beaver" McNeely Jr. of Rockford departed this earthly life December 12, 2025. He was born May 3, 1957 in Rockford the son of Dornal Sr. and Everlean McNeely. Dornal was employed as a custodian by the Rockford Board of Education 16 years before retiring. He was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist church serving as a Deacon and also as the custodian many years before becoming ill. He graduated from Auburn High School class of , later to attended DeVry and Cosmetology School.

Dornal leaves to cherish many loving memories, sister, Carolyn (Curtis) Turner; one brother Calvin James; companion of many years, Lonnie Cooper, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including special nephew, Terrance McNeely; special niece, Nequai Day; special friends, Tim Sledge, Willie Lewis and Rev. Robert Jones. He wa predeceased by his parents; brother, Lee Lilly; three sisters, Mary McNeely, Lavon Day and Yvonne Kelley.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church 2919 19th Street. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. ++
