Dorotha "Wynell" Clark

Wynell Clark of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 90. She was born in Westbrook, Texas, and spent her formative years in Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana.

At the end of her high school senior year, plans to attend nursing school in the fall were upended when she met the handsome young Airman from California. In July of 1953 Wynell married the handsome young Airman, the love of her life, Rudy Clark. The young couple welcomed a baby girl in April of 1954 and the adventures of a lifetime began.

The United States Air Force took the young family from Louisiana to Mississippi to Alaska, Texas and finally two duty stations in Virginia.

In addition to her family & working full time, she was a dedicated member of Beta Sigma Phi an international service and cultural organization for over fifty years.

Wynell is preceded in death by her father Robert Kinsey, and her mother Claudia Downs and her son-in-law David Dillon.

Wynell is survived by her loving daughter, Victoria Stiles. A private memorial service will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Wynell's memory to Heritage Humane Society.
