Dorothea "Dot" Jane Rigg (nee Trimble), age 92, of Vandalia, MO passed away Friday, January 12, 2024, peacefully at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Dot was born on February 16th, 1931, to Prentis Kramer Trimble and Margaret Elizabeth (Noonan) Trimble; the ninth of eleven children. Dot graduated from Ritenour High School in 1949 and was married to the late James Edward Rigg on November 17, 1950.

Dot worked for Deluxe Checks in St. Louis for 23 years before retiring and moving to Vandalia, MO, where she continued to work until she was in her late 80's at Tri-County Nursing Home.

Relaxing on her screened in patio with a good book was how you could find Dot anytime the weather was nice. Trips to the casino, watching true crime TV shows and Dr. Phil, canning, and listening to Elvis were some of her favorite past times.

Dot's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She cherished every moment spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dearest Mother of Jim Rigg (Kim) of Center, MO, Greg Rigg of St. John, MO and Sherry Conrey of Overland, MO; Loving Sister to Donnie Trimble of Wichita, KS and June Yocum of Vandalia, MO; Beloved Grandmother to Becca James (Jesse) of Wentzville, MO, Jennifer West (Jeff) of Troy, MO, David Conrey (Jamie) of Winfield, MO, and Jimmy Christensen (Becky) of Cuba, MO; Adoring Great Grandmother to Alyssa, Jordan, Nathan, Elizabeth, Emily, Cami, Haylee, Issac, Sean, Bradley, Isabella, and Andrew; and Aunt to several nieces and nephews
