Dorothea "Dot" Jane Rigg (nee Trimble), age 92, of Vandalia, MO passed away Friday, January 12, 2024, peacefully at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Dot was born on February 16th, 1931, to Prentis Kramer Trimble and Margaret Elizabeth (Noonan) Trimble; the ninth of eleven children. Dot graduated from Ritenour High School in 1949 and was married to the late James Edward Rigg on November 17, 1950.
Dot worked for Deluxe Checks in St. Louis for 23 years before retiring and moving to Vandalia, MO, where she continued to work until she was in her late 80's at Tri-County Nursing Home.
Relaxing on her screened in patio with a good book was how you could find Dot anytime the weather was nice. Trips to the casino, watching true crime TV shows and Dr. Phil, canning, and listening to Elvis were some of her favorite past times.
Dot's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She cherished every moment spent with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Visitation celebrating Dot's life will be held from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the Waters Funeral Home in Vandalia, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the Waters Funeral Home in Vandalia, MO. Bro. Kenny Haddock will officiate. Private family burial will be held at a later date in Fairmont Cemetery in Middletown, MO.
