Dorothy Clarene "Dottie" Adams

Dottie B. Adams, 83 of Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord, December 22, 2025, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC surrounded by her family.

She was a native of Graham County and the daughter of the late Harley and Eula Orr Brooks.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Adams and sister Maxine Orr.

She is survived by her son, Joe Adams (Barbie) of Robbinsville, NC; daughter, Joyce Sherrill (Shannon) of Bushnell, FL; brother, Marvin Brooks (Wanda) of Robbinsville, NC and sister, Kathleen Garland of Alcoa TN. She is also survived by her grandchildren Caitlan Brown (Austin), Josh Holloway (Sasha), Cade Adams (Cassidy) and Jacob Holloway (Savannah) as well as her great grandchildren Cam Adams, Hermione Sampson, Gatlin Holloway, Conley Adams, Granger Holloway, Baker Adams, Gillie Holloway, and Ace Brown, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Dottie loved the Lord and spent years in His service. She was a life-long member of Lone Oak Baptist Church where she served as Treasurer for over 30 years as well as Bible School Director for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday December 26, 2025 at Lone Oak Baptist Church. The Reverends Scott Roper and Lance Burke will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11 to 1:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Lone Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.
