Dorothy L. Armelin

Dorothy L. Armelin, 86, lifetime resident of Stafford, CT, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Evergreen Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

Dorothy was the daughter of the late Lucien and Robia (Boucher) Cartier. She was employed in several jobs, most notably a dietary technician at Johnson Memorial Hospital, as well as at the Co-op in produce and meat departments.

Known as Meme to many, Dottie was a true people person, friendly, warm, and always willing to strike a conversation, with anyone she met. Her kindness and easy-going nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her, and some that didn't. Her family will remember her for her love and compassion and selflessness, her sense of humor and silliness, and the love of an occasion.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Evergreen for their love and support.

Dottie is survived by her two sons, Anthony Armelin and his wife Terry, and Paul Armelin; her six grandchildren, Ashley and partner Ross Boone, Tony and wife Stephanie, Amanda, Zachary and wife Alex, Angela and husband Jacob, and Mindy; and her five great-grandchildren, Ellie, Nora, Mackenzie, Jacob, and Remi. She also leaves her brother, Victor Cartier and his wife Kathy, along with many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her seven siblings, Roger, Geraldine, Evelyn, Donald, Alice, Roy "Butch", and Robert.

A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, with a prayer service to take place at 11:00 AM, at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
