Mrs. Dorothy Jean Baker, age 76 of Nashville, departed this earthly life on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at UNC Nash Hospital, Rocky Mount.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00PM, Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Bunn Chapel Baptist Church, Nashville. Interment will follow at Spring Hope Memorial Gardens, Spring Hope.
A viewing will be held from 11:00 AM - 12:00PM, prior to the service at the church.
Jean leaves to cherish her memories: Her three children, Johnnie Baker III (Jacqueline Smith) of Nashville, Larry Baker of the home, Pamela Baker of Rocky Mount Her eight Grandchildren: Shamika Mcduffie, Rhenada Bulluck (Jonathan Bulluck), Kiara Whitehead (Antonio Whitehead), Sherell Baker, Jamarcus Smith, Makiya Smith, Lamiya Smith, Jada Baker, Her six great grandchildren: Faith McDuffie, James McDuffie, Karson Whitehead, Destani Bulluck, Emery Smith, Saige Pitts, Her six sisters and two brothers, Janice McCann (George), Leah Mann (William), Annie Jones, Carylon Avent all of Rocky Mount NC, Annette Jones (Tim), Betty Eley, of Nashville NC, Thurman Gardner (Delores) of Newport New VA, Edward Eley (Stephanie) of Gissen, Germany, Her five brothers-in-law and one sister-in- law Lee Edward Baker, Willie Baker, Charles Baker (Lovie) of Nashville NC, Bobby Baker of Philadelphia PA, Larry Baker, and Janice Baker of Rocky Mount NC., A special niece Barbara Ann Williams who she talked to everyday. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
