Dorothy Roberta Baker

Dorothy Roberta Baker, 87, of Lansdale, PA, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2025.

She was the loving wife of the late George Joseph Baker.

Born in the Bronx, NY, December 27, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Wood) Collins.

Dorothy worked at Merck & Co. Inc for over 15 years before retiring in March of 2003. Throughout her life, Dorothy enjoyed cooking delicious meals for family and friends to enjoy, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She was active in several churches, especially Bethel Baptist Church. She also was a member of the young republicans. Having been raised in the Bronx, Dorothy was an avid fan of the NY Yankees.

What brought Dorothy the most joy in life was her family and her faith in God. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Dale Baker, and wife Karin; her daughter, Kristin Vollmer, and husband George; her six grandchildren, Tiffany, Ashley, Hillary, Amanda, George, and Cassidy; and her six great-grandchildren, Harper, Grayson, Londyn, Campbell, Ava, and Connor.

In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her daughter, Lynne Phillips.

The family will receive visitors Sunday, November 30 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM.

Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
