Companion Funeral & Cremation Service - ClevelandDorothy Mae Carter, daughter, mother, granny, sister and friend to many passed away September 23, 2025, at her residence in Cleveland TN. She was born on October 9, 1950, in Atlanta, GA.
She worked for several years at Champion Cleaners until she retired. She enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee, or on her front porch swing watching the birds and listening to her wind chimes. The thing she loved most was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy was loved greatly and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Carter, parents Patrick and Nellie Lynch, brother Joseph Lynch and sister Rosemary Griffin
Left behind to cherish her memory are her sons Ronnie Carter, Steven Carter, Ben Carter; daughter Amanda Dye (Shane); grandsons, Britton Carter, Brayson Carter, Logan Dye and Noah Dye; granddaughters Maddie Dye and Kayleigh Loudermilk; Brother, Eugene Lynch; Sisters, Patsy Dixon, Martha Timpson, Doris Hopson and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
Nehemiah 8:10 Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
The family will be holding a celebration of life service at Living by Faith Ministries, October 11, 2025, at 4 pm with visitation prior to the service from 3pm-4pm.
