Dorothy "Dottie" Louise Foster

Dorothy "Dottie" Louise Foster, age 78 of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. She was born on Thursday, February 20, 1941, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana to Vincent and Leona LeBlanc McCahill. Dottie enjoyed life and loved cooking, singing, music, dancing, decorating, going to church and collecting all kinds of nic nacs, gardening but she especially loved spending time with her family. Dottie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Donald Foster, her daughter, Machelle Brungart and her husband Rodney, her son, John Foster, her grandchildren, Rachel Brungart and her husband Tony Poston, Jr., Joshua Brungart and his wife Asia Brungart and Micah Brungart, her great grandchildren, Carson Young, Lanikai Brungart, Emmalyn Poston and Tony Poston III, 2 step-children, 3 step-grandchildren, 4 step-great grandchildren, 1 step-great great grandson, her sisters, Ada, Sandra and Christine and her brothers, Wilson, John Paul and Donald, also many nieces, nephews and close friends. Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Leona LeBlanc McCahill, her brothers, Robert, Vincent, Van Lauren and Roger Paul and her sisters, Patricia and Roberta. A visitation for Dottie will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and continue on Friday, May 31, 2019 from 8:30 am until 10:30 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula. A Funeral Service Celebrating Dottie's Life will immediately follow Friday's visitation at 10:30 am in the funeral home chapel.
