Dorothy E. (Griffin) Titcomb of Dracut, formerly of Stoneham passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. She is 91 years of age.
Born on Friday, August 26, 1932 in Boston, Dorothy is the loving daughter of the late Martin Griffin and Ethel (Brodie) Griffin. Dorothy is a warm, kind and gentle daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed.
Formerly of Charlestown and Stoneham, Dorothy enjoyed spending her summers camping and going to bingo in Maine with her sister-in-law Kathleen. She was an avid Boston sports fan especially rooting for the Bruins. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dorothy is the beloved wife of the late Joseph Titcomb. She is the devoted mother of Joseph & Andrea Titcomb, Christine & Vincent Catanuso, Laurie Mercer and her late husband Richard Mercer, Cheryl Titcomb, Dorothy & Eric Humphrey, Douglas & Michelle Titcomb, Lisa & Frank Dicostanzo. The cherished grandmother of Timothy Sheedy, Kara Sheedy, Stephen Mercer, Jennifer Gabriello, Ian Titcomb, Nathaniel Titcomb, Alyx Catanuso, Jonathan Titcomb, Francesca Dicostanzo, Adreanna Dicostanzo, Cydney Catanuso, Jordan Schmidt, Jolynn Catanuso, Genna Titcomb, Ryan Humphrey, Izabella Humphrey and Jared Titcomb, Dorothy is the doting great grandmother of Lyla Sheedy, Aiden Mercer, Max Walsh, Leah Cote, Reagan Sheedy , Nora Cote, Emmalie Mercer, Natalia Ortiz, Landon Mercer, Valentino Titcomb, Everly Titcomb, Siena Titcomb and Bennett Titcomb. She is the dear sister of Robert Griffin and the late George Griffin, the late Martin Griffin and the late Richard Griffin. Dorothy is also lovingly survived by her sister-in-law Kathleen Griffin and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will truly miss her.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Dorothy’s Family on Wednesday, June 19th from 4-7pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM. A Funeral Service Celebrating Dorothy’s Eternal Life will be held on Thursday, June 20th at 10:30am in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
