A family gathering will be held at Mount Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, April 22, 2023, beginning at 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
The family of Ms. Dorothy Mae Guy request that all attendees wear a face mask for the visitation and services.
Dorothy Mae Guy was a resident and native of New Iberia, LA. She transitioned at 2:41 A.M. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters: Tonya Faye Calais Braxton (Carolos) of Fontana, CA, Tyra Calais Trotter (Dionne) of Humble, TX, Tamika Provost of New Iberia, LA; four sons: Troy Calais, Tyrone Calais both of Opelousas, LA, Tremaine Provost, and Tormicheal Provost both of New Iberia, LA; two sisters: Delores Collins (Collins), and Linda P. Jones both of New Iberia, LA; eighteen grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Victor Provost, Sr., and Mable Martin Provost; eight brothers: Worris "Jose" Provost, Francis Lewis, Chesley Lewis, Paul Provost, Junius Lewis, Horace Lewis, David Provost, and Victor Provost, Jr; six sisters: Hazel Raymond, Mable T. Provost, Eula Mae Lewis, Annie Mae Lewis, Mary Provost, and Rose Provost.
