Earl Armstead Obituary
Publish in a newspaper
He will await the resurrection at Mount Calvary Memorial Park Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 7:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home until time of service.
A native and resident of New Iberia, LA. He departed this life on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Iberia Medical Center.
A man of many talents, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing and cooking. He enjoyed life and had a great sense of humor.
He retired from Ralph Indest Pipeline after more than fifty years of service.
He leaves to cherish his memory, five daughters, Gail Rose (Anthony), Lenora Lynn Placide, Angela Fontenette (Roland, Sr.) and Karen Thomas (Calvin, Sr.) all of New Iberia, LA and Carla McCoy (Louis) of Loreauville, LA; one sister, Leola Boutte of Olivier, LA; twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla Shaw Armstead; parents, Samuel Armstead, Sr. and Veda Jones Armstead; grandson, Ken Ray Delahoussaye; his in-laws, Loudice and Bertha Fontenette; three brothers, Alvin Armstead, Roland Armstead and Samuel Armstead, Jr. and one sister, Almeta Ledet.
Active Pallbearers will be Marvin Harrison, Ashton Delahoussaye, Kendale Thomas, Calvin Thomas, Jr., Roland Fontenette, Jr., Calvin Thomas, Sr., Ervin Armstead, Jr. and Carlos Brooks, Sr.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Thaddeus Williams, Earl Williams, Cliff McCoy, Calvin Thomas, Sr., Roland Fontenette, Sr., Anthony Rose, Mark Jacquet, Edward Singleton and Dylan Singleton.
